Delete your account

You can delete your SailingHub account at any time, without giving a reason. Here is how, and exactly what is removed.

1. From the app (fastest)

Open SailingHub, go to Profile → Delete account and confirm. The deletion is immediate and does not need our intervention.

2. By email (if you no longer have the app)

Write to privacy@sailinghub.club from the address registered on your account, asking for deletion. We reply within 30 days as required by the GDPR, and normally within a few working days. We may ask you to confirm your identity if the request does not come from the registered address.

3. What gets deleted

• Your profile: name, email, phone, address, photo.
• Your routes and their legs, the photos and videos attached to them, and your saved position tracks.
• Your boats, their documents, and the content you published in the Community.

4. What we must keep, and for how long

Invoices and payment records for bookings already made are kept for 10 years, because Italian tax law requires it (art. 2220 of the Civil Code). They are no longer linked to a usable account and are not used for any other purpose. This is the only exception: everything else is removed.

6. Delete only some data, keeping your account

You do not have to delete everything. In the app you can remove single routes and their legs, the photos and videos attached to them, your boats and their documents, and the content you published in the Community — the account and everything else stay as they are. For anything you cannot remove yourself, write to privacy@sailinghub.club saying which data you want erased: it is your right of erasure under art. 17 GDPR, and it does not require closing your account.

5. It cannot be undone

Deletion is permanent. We cannot restore a deleted account, its routes or its photos — not even the day after. If you only want to stop receiving notifications, you can turn them off in the app without deleting anything.
